How to calculate force from velocity and mass?

Steps to calculate force from velocity and mass

  1. Firstly, you need to calculate the acceleration of the body. We can find the acceleration (a) using the formula:
    a = ∆v / ∆t
    where:
    ∆v = change in velocity
    ∆t = change in time
  2. Once you have the value of acceleration, you can then find the force using the second law of motion which states:
    F = m * a
    where:
    F = force, m = mass and a = acceleration.

Note:

In Physics, it's important to note that this calculation applies only when the mass of the object is constant and the force applied leads to a linear acceleration.
